Human Relations Day

Human Relations Day

Special Offering: Jan. 14th, 8 & 10:30 a.m.

Human Relations Day is one of six special Sundays that the United Methodist Church designates as opportunities to highlight specific ministries within the denomination and to encourage financial support of their ongoing work.

United Methodist Churches join together on Human Relations Day to recognize this important truth:

Everyone has the right to realize their potential as human beings in relationship with one another.

We, as a denomination, believe it is important to tend to the needs of the total person. Sometimes people need to see what we will do before hearing what Christ can do.

Celebrated on the Sunday before Martin Luther King Day, United Methodist Churches around the nation collect a special offering to support social justice work at the grassroots level. 100% of Human Relations Day giving will be used for:

  • Neighborhood Ministries
  • Community Advocacy
  • Youth Offender Rehabilitation

Bring your special gift to worship services on Jan. 14th or give online here.
