An experimental exploration of Spiritual Practices aimed at deepening our experience of and response to the grace of God. We will begin the first few weeks with Bible study, learning the process of unpacking one of the passages used in worship each Sunday. Then we will delve into prayer, especially Contemplative Prayer, using the book by James Finley, “Christian Meditation: Experiencing the Presence of God.” As the year progresses we will examine other Spiritual Practices like journaling, devotional reading, and other styles of prayer. “Open Door” means open door. Whether you have some experience at these things or none at all, your are welcome. Whether you have been a part of our church family for decades or you are new to this place, your are welcome. Come as you are.
